Sydney 2014 Event
One of the largest events of its type, Semi-Permanent is a creative platform spreading art and design inspiration. It consists of a conference and side events which include exhibitions, competitions, workshops and parties. It’s a week long celebration of all things design. Graphic Design, Film, Art, Illustration, Web Design, Photography, Visual Effects, Animation, Graffiti, Motion Graphics, Stop Motion; all these things and more. Semi-Permanent explores the diverse and exciting design world bringing together exceptionally talented artists and designers to speak at the event.
Semi-Permanent’s 2014 Sydney event represented a new direction for the event. As such the theme for the year was evolution. The design for the event reflected this theme with the identity itself being evolved. The approach centred in the idea of a time line. At some points the time line was used more explicitly with past speakers being listed chronologically, and at other times in a more abstract graphic element. This graphic language formed the basis of all collateral for the event from the initial invite through to book design event signage and way finding.
